Koala Mattress
Koala has become one of Australia’s most iconic brands, for their quirky marketing and strong cause initiatives. Moose Creative followed Koala for a day in a micro-documentary on the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. We were tasked with telling the story of Koala’s donation to the animal hospital to learn what the money is used for.
Koala Mattress is dedicated to promoting and funding the rescue of sick and injured Koalas, with a portion of sales donated to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.
Moose put together the script, and filmed at the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. We interviewed three inspiring ladies who give their time and energy every week to help rescue and rehabilitate sick and injured koalas. The script focuses on one Koala in-particular, Jebrey, who had come in to the Hospital as a baby, and was recently re-emited years after his first visit.
Web and Social Media. Some of our footage was used for news.com.au among other places online. We scheduled a day of production, and managed to reach the deadline for National Wildlife Day, where some of the footage was picked up by News.com.au and aired on their social media channels.
